Ask about life skills supportExplore support in MirandaWhat does a session involve?
It starts with the task, rather than a standard activity list. For cooking, that means choosing a meal, making a list, shopping and practising the preparation. For travel, it means planning the route and practising the journey together. These are examples, with each session agreed around your goals.
How is this different from daily living support?
Daily living support helps you get through the tasks you need help with now. Life skills support focuses on practising the steps so you can build confidence and independence. The same task can involve both, depending on your needs and plan.
Explore daily living supportWhich NDIS funding applies?
The support must match the funding and goals in your individual plan. A service name does not establish what your plan will pay for. Check the support category with your plan manager, support coordinator or NDIS contact before agreeing to services.
Read the NDIS capacity building guideCan my support coordinator enquire?
Yes. You, a family member or your coordinator can start the conversation. Detailed plans and reports can follow through the intake process once service fit is clear.
